House Tour

Tours of the Mott family home are available on from 1–4 p.m. (last entry at 3:30 p.m.) on days that Applewood is open — no reservation needed! House Tours are first come, first served.

Visitors can explore the first floor of the Mott family home, including all the main living spaces, and the basement.

Guests who prefer a digital option can explore our virtual tour, available as part of the exhibit in the historic garage and on our website.

What’s in Bloom Garden Tour

A guided What’s in Bloom Garden Tour is held on the second and fourth Thursday of every month at 12 p.m. The tour changes each month and highlights plants in peak bloom and other plants of interest. The tour begins at the Visitor Services desk. Expect the tour to take approximately one hour. We hope you’ll stick around for the In the Gardens program immediately after!

A self-guided What’s in Bloom experience is always available at Visitor Services. Check out a printed guide to what flowers, shrubs, and other flora are expected to bloom that month. (Guests may always explore the grounds on their own when Applewood is open.)

Mindfulness Tour

Join us on the third Saturday of every month at 11:30 a.m. for a guided mindfulness experience in various peaceful places throughout the gardens and grounds. Enjoy Applewood’s beauty and tranquility with reflections that are designed to support well-being and promote self-awareness. Offered through a partnership with the Crim Fitness Foundation’s Mindful Flint initiative.

For a self-guided experience on other days, see our Visitor Services desk during your visit to check out a mindfulness guide that focuses on various sites throughout the grounds at Applewood.
