House Tour

Tours of the Mott family home are available on from 1–4 p.m. (last entry at 3:30 p.m.) on days that Applewood is open — no reservation needed! House Tours are self guided and volunteer guides are available to answer questions.

Visitors can explore the first floor of the Mott family home, including all the main living spaces, and the basement.

Guests who prefer a digital option can explore our virtual tour, available as part of the exhibit in the historic garage and on our website.

What’s in Bloom Garden Tour

A guided What’s in Bloom Garden Tour is held on the second and fourth Thursday of every month at 12 p.m. The tour changes each month and highlights plants in peak bloom and other plants of interest. The tour begins at the Visitor Services desk. Expect the tour to take approximately one hour. We hope you’ll stick around for the In the Gardens program immediately after!

A self-guided What’s in Bloom experience is always available at Visitor Services. Check out a printed guide to what flowers, shrubs, and other flora are expected to bloom that month. (Guests may always explore the grounds on their own when Applewood is open.)
